The Challenge
NaviGou - GPS Navigation, Maps and Real Time Traffic is a GPS app for Android and iOS that uses the highest quality maps, updated daily, from Waze, Google and Apple. We took on the challenge of creating a model that turned navigation into a fun daily game. Our goal was to increase both customer retention and customer acquisition through virality.
Our Solution
Our motto for improving user experience in navigation was “Turn your navigation into a game”. We created a gamification model where users earn points for kilometres driven while using navigation. Users reach objectives that earn them fun driver level names like Ninja Driver and Dangerous Grandma. To raise competitiveness, users compete with one another for leaderboard position and best driver of the week status.
